Fujifilm FinePix X100
Fujifilm have announced the commercial release of the much heralded X100.
The Press Release doesn't seem to mention important details such as the actual release date and the price, but apparently it should be available in March and the price will be around about a wallet trembling £1000.
There are now some sample images available on the X100 site. They all seem to be at ISO 200 which is a shame, but the image quality on display is encouraging. Of course, in image quality terms it will be impossible to make any sensible assessments until there are some RAW files, taken in a variety of situations, to test.
But for this camera in particular, which is very much aimed at a particular market segment, the level of usability will be equally crucial in defining whether it is ultimately a success.
I have used this type of camera. It is very nice camera. Its a great picture to shoot by this camera. The classically-styled camera features traditional analogue controls for shutter speed, aperture and exposure compensation.
